The positive for me is that the lines have become bolder and more dynamic. As a manga reader i want to say just believe in the art style looking at this comparison now the new style fits more to the upcoming scenes for the anime. Haikyuu and other sports anime even non sports fans will love. But then again its probably of my bias to the manga. Like it s a very gradual change over time.
